Vorüberlegung für Mitarbeitende

Wichtig für das Verständnis dieses Geschehens sind die Verse 17-19 in Josua 6. Hier stellt Gott klar, wie sich die Israeliten bei der Eroberung Jerichos verhalten sollen: alles wird vernichtet, niemand darf etwas für sich behalten. Gegenstände aus Gold, Silber, Bronze und Eisen gehören Gott und somit in die Schatzkammer der Stiftshütte. Daran halten sich wohl alle Kämpfer – bis auf Achan.
